At a Glance: The 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Car fans agree that the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is one of the top options in its class. The pickup truck is not only reasonably priced, but it also provides drivers with an excellent towing capacity, an abundance of storage space, and all the most important safety and infotainment features. Because there are many different variations available, it's easy for drivers to find a model that works for them. Basics About the 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 The Chevy Silverado has been around since 1999, and this newest version offers more features and a better build than ever before. With eight trim levels, six different engines, and three types of cabs available, you won't be stuck for choice when it comes to configuring your perfect pickup truck. Some of the most coveted assets of the Silverado are its amazing towing capacity of up to 13,300 lbs and its maximum cargo space of 89.1 cubic feet. Many drivers also appreciate that this vehicle is fuel-efficient when compared to its competitors. If you opt for the diesel engine, you can expect an efficiency of 23 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway. Even the turbo-four engine is efficient considering the large size of the Silverado. In the city, it will go for 20mpg and on the highway, 23mpg. more Pricing You can buy a basic Silverado for $29,300, which is a lower price than many other vehicles in its class. As mentioned, there are many different trims and ways to configure your car, so prices will vary depending on the engine, cab size, and additional packages you choose. A top-of-the-range Chevrolet Silverado High Country might cost you $53,900, which is a very competitive price for a top model. In addition to choosing a trim that suits you, you can also accessorize your vehicle. If you know that you will be driving in the countryside and in adverse weather conditions, it might be worth adding all-weather floor liners and splash guards. There are also additional safety accessories and tools that make cargo management easier. The add-ons you choose will affect your final price. New and Unique Features Like previous models, the 2021 Chevy Silverado benefits from a touchscreen infotainment system and great safety features such as adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and a rearview camera. However, there are several innovations that make it unique. The turbodiesel or turbocharged four-cylinder engine will give you access to greater towing capacity, and the new optional multifunction tailgate comes with a multitude of useful features such as a step that makes it easier for you to climb in and out of the bed and a cutout that facilitates the hauling of long items. Drivers looking for a great pickup truck that is customizable to their specific needs can't go wrong with the 2021 Chevy Silverado. Does Your Chevrolet Need a Brake Repair?

The braking system in your Chevy vehicle has multiple components including the discs, rotors, master cylinders, wheel speed sensors, pads, brake lines, and valves. Your safety depends on the optimal performance of each of these parts. If any component fails, your vehicle gives a sign telling you it's time to visit a Chevrolet dealer for professional brake repair. This post identifies the clues that indicate your vehicle's braking system needs urgent repairs. Your Brake Light Is On The brake light is one signal you should never ignore. This is the easiest indicator of a problem with some components in the brake system. The light comes on due to low brake fluid, engaged emergency brake, ABS malfunction, or defective sensors. Check if the parking brake is engaged and, if not, turn off the engine and back on. Your car needs a brake check if the warning light is still on. more You Have a Soft Brake Pedal Do you have to push the brake pedal all the way down? A spongy brake pedal poses a big safety hazard because it makes it difficult to bring your car to a full stop in case of an emergency. The soft brake pedal could be due to air in the brake lines, brake line damage, cylinder wear, damaged master cylinder, or old brake fluid. Whatever the reason, your Chevrolet's brake system needs a quick diagnosis and repairs for enhanced safety. Your Car Pulls to the Side While Braking If you've trouble handling your car when braking, this is a sign of serious brake system problems. The problem arises if your vehicle has unevenly worn brake pads, stuck brake caliper, or a broken brake line. Handling the car in a busy traffic situation becomes risky and you can easily cause an accident. The Chevy technicians at the dealership have cutting-edge equipment to diagnose the underlying brake problem and repair it. You Hear Squealing Sounds When Braking A high-pitched noise every time you hit the brakes is one of the easiest indicators of brake problems. Common causes of this squealing include worn or glazed pads and rotors, poor pads insulation or insulation shims, broken anti rattle clips, or an incorrect rotor surface cut. The noise is a reminder that your car is due for a brake service. Urgent repairs or parts replacement prevent further damage to the braking system and improve safety. Your Car Vibrates When Braking If you're experiencing shaking or vibrations when braking, you need to take your Chevrolet for a brake checkup. The underlying problem is mostly a warped brake rotor caused by excessive heat and poor brake maintenance. When braking, the pads are pressed against an uneven rotor leading to the vibrations. The Chevrolet automotive brand has built a reputation for reliability and durability. To maximize these qualities in your vehicle, provide it with the best maintenance. If you notice any of these brake warning signs, have the problem checked at a local dealer. 4 Tips For Buying Your Teen's First Car

If you're a parent looking to buy your teen's first car, there are a number of things that you need to be aware of before you go and do so. Here are some helpful tips for buying your teen's first car. Look for the Best Price When buying a car for your teen, price is a major consideration. Make sure that you shop around and look at multiple models. Don't assume that because one car is priced at a certain amount with a particular dealership, that it will be priced the same with others. In fact, you may get an even better deal by shopping at a dealership known for competitive pricing. Make sure that you take time to make sure that your budget will allow for the car you want them to drive. This can save you money in the long run. more Ask Your Teen About Their Preferences If you're buying a car for your teen, you should take some time to do some research before you do anything. Find out as much as you can about the make and model of the car that interests your teen. Find out what they like and dislike about it. This information will help you make an informed decision. Look at various models and compare them based on price, features, fuel efficiency, and safety. When you have narrowed your search down to a few cars, take your teen with you to get a feel for the car. Your teen needs to have an idea of what they want in a car. Give them a few car buying tips to help them decide what type of car they would like, don't just hand them a price. You need to find out all about the model and make they see themselves driving. This information can help your teen to decide whether or not they really want the car. Consider More Than Just a Low Price Most parents aren't going to buy their teens expensive, luxury cars for their first vehicle. However, a car that is inexpensive doesn't necessarily mean that it's a good vehicle. Before you start giving your teen car models and prices, you need to find out everything about the vehicle. Find out how safe the vehicle is and how well maintained it is. Your teen won't likely be driving this vehicle before you buy it, so you need to be sure that they will be comfortable in it and how safe it is. Put Safety First Always make sure that the car that you are buying is as safe as possible. Have the dealer do a safety check. They should be able to do this easily as most dealerships have on-site service shops. If not, have them run the car for you. It will give you a much better idea of what the car's safety features are. Buying your teen's first car doesn't have to be hard work and at Randy Wise Chevrolet in Flint, MI we are ready to help make the process stress-free!
