What Your New Chevrolet Vehicle Warranties Cover

When you purchase a new Chevrolet vehicle, a lot of good things are coming your way. One of these is the exceptional Chevrolet new-vehicle warranty program. As part of our comprehensive customer support, Randy Wise Chevrolet is happy to explain what this program includes and how it can help you save money while ensuring complete peace of mind.
Bumper-to-Bumper Limited Warranty
This warranty is valid for three years / 36,000 miles. It covers the entire vehicle for repairs, including parts and labor, to correct any defect in materials or workmanship. Normal wear and tear due to the use of consumable parts like the tires and brake pads is not covered by this warranty.
Powertrain Limited Warranty
The powertrain limited warranty lasts five years / 60,000 miles. It covers the three key areas of an automobile’s powertrain: the engine, transmission, and drivetrain. If a defect in materials and/or workmanship occurs in any of these systems during the warranty period, all necessary repairs are covered. Just bear in mind that repairs stemming from abuse, neglect, or failures that result from the use of third-party parts or labor may not be covered.
Corrosion Protection
With corrosion protection, all body and sheet metal components are warranted against corrosion for a period of three years or 36,000 miles. Longer durations may be available – if you’re interested, a Flint, MI Chevy dealer will be happy to provide more information.
First Maintenance Visit
When you purchase or lease a new Chevrolet vehicle, your first Chevy service visit is covered. This complimentary offer, which includes an oil change, multi-point vehicle inspection, and tire rotation, must occur at a participating dealer within the first year of ownership.
How do I Obtain a Warranty Repair?
To obtain a warranty repair, the first step is to visit a certified GM dealer like ours. We’ll diagnose the problem and confirm that your warranty will cover the necessary work. Once confirmed, we’ll create a timeline for repairs. Keep in mind that all warranty-related work must be completed at a certified GM dealership. Work done by a third party may not be eligible for reimbursement.
