2021 Chevrolet Colorado Basics
The Chevy Colorado is highly rated for its maneuverability and spacious cargo bed. Four models and two bed lengths are available. The volume of the short box is 41 cubic feet while the long box boasts 50 cubic feet of space.
Other configurations for the 2021 Colorado include cab style and layout. The extended cab has four doors and the crew cab is available with either two or four doors. The engine may be accompanied by rear-wheel drive or front-wheel drive.
Engines
The standard engine on the base model of the Chevy Colorado is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with a six-speed automatic transmission. Two other engine choices are offered for additional speed and strength.
The available 3.6-liter V6 engine paired with an eight-speed transmission is capable of providing up to 308 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. A 2.8-liter Duramax turbo-diesel engine is also an option. It can produce 181 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. Most impressively, this diesel engine can tow up to 7,700 pounds with a fuel efficiency of up to 19 mpg in the city or 28 mpg on the highway.
Technology
The infotainment system of the 2021 Colorado comes standard with a seven-inch touchscreen display. It is compatible with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa. Also standard is a rear vision camera for maximum visibility when you’re reversing. Additional technology features available include:

In addition to the standard features of the WT, it has 17-inch wheels, an eight-inch touchscreen, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
The Z71 model comes with the V6 engine and 4WD. The starting price of the Z71 is $37,695 MSRP. It includes an off-road suspension package, auto-locking rear differentials, and a transfer case shield. The ZR2 with 4WD is the only model available with the diesel engine. The ZR2 with the extended cab and turbo diesel engine starts at $47,295 MSRP.
