The Tangy Crab
If you want an experience you won’t soon forget, grab a group of friends, hop in your sharp cherry-red Chevy Blazer and make a short trip to the Tangy Crab. Located at 3366 Corunna Rd in Flint, The Tangy Crab serves a variety of Cajun-inspired seafood meals but specializes in mouthwatering Seafood boils. Bring your friends and family for a memorable but messy experience.
Half the fun of the Tangy Crab is the laughter and conversation with friends as you indulge in the food. The Tangy Crab is different from some other seafood boil restaurants because they let you choose the seafood and sauce while the restaurant provides the napkins and gloves! Your seafood boil choices include crabs, crawfish, lobster tails, shrimp, and many more. You then add potatoes, corn, sausage, and yummy seasoning.
Juicy Seafood Flint
Juicy Seafood is a fantastic casual spot where you can order seafood any way you want. Whether you want your seafood grilled, fried, or tossed over pasta, you can get it here. They even have fried seafood baskets and seafood po’boys too. Located at 3583 Miller Rd at Genesee Commons in Flint, Juicy Seafood has a full menu of options so everyone can find something they’ll love.
You can’t go wrong with the make-your-own seafood combo platters, which include two seafood items and your choice of seasonings. Choose from among several options like shrimp, crawfish, and crab legs, and then specify how hot you want it. Top your meal off with cajun, lemon pepper, garlic butter, or the Juicy special sauce, and you’ve got a phenomenal dish!
Robin’s Nest
Robin’s Nest is a moderately priced restaurant with to-die-for home-cooked seafood. Located at 2800 Richfield Rd, Robin’s Nest is great if you want a fried fish meal with a side of collard greens. You can choose perch, walleye, orange roughy, farm-raised Mississippi catfish, and they also have fried shrimp. They advertise dine-in, but since they only have a couple of tables, it’s mainly carry-out.
You won’t be disappointed with the side dishes at Robin’s Nest with fantastic choices like creamy mac and cheese, yams, and red beans and rice. Their phenomenal greens frequently sell out, so get there early if you want them. And if you have room for dessert, top it off with sweet potato or pecan pie!
