The 2022 Chevy Tahoe is hitting the road with all kinds of impressive features and options. With six unique trim levels featuring varying engines and design specifications, there are many options to choose from. Let’s do a deep dive into the options available for 2022.

Basics About the 2022 Chevy Tahoe

Following a major design overhaul for the 2021 model, the Tahoe arrived in late 2021 with six trim levels. All trim levels, with the exception of Z71, are available in 2WD or 4WD. Each trim level features a ten-speed automatic transmission.

New Features

2022’s model has made further advancements for the vehicle’s interior. Added seating in the second row and 10 inches of additional space between the second and third rows make this a comfortable ride for all of your passengers.

Trim Levels

LS

The basic trim level of the Tahoe features the option of either the 5.3L V8 engine or the 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine. 18-inch tires and all-season wheels come standard. An 8-inch infotainment system features a backup camera and compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

LT

This trim level again gives the option of the 5.3L V8 engine or the 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine. In addition to the base features of the LS, LT is upgraded with a Bose nine-speaker audio system, body updates like a Gloss Black grille and Chrome accents, and a larger 10.2-inch premium infotainment display. Technology features, including wireless charging and a hands-free liftgate, are also part of this trim level.

Z71

Available only in four-wheel drive for impressive off-road capabilities, the Z71 upgrades the LT’s features with 20-inch wheels, all-terrain tires, red recovery hooks, and available Four-Corner Air Ride Adaptive Suspension. It also has some exterior features that make it unique. Black accents for the grille, roof side rails, beltline molding, and skid plates give Z71 a sleek appearance. The Z71 has an available 6.2L V8 engine, but no diesel option.

RST

RST features LT’s upgrades and some interior and exterior characteristics that set it apart. 22-inch aluminum wheels with wheel locks are painted in Bright Machined High-Gloss Black to complement a Jet Black interior with Victory Red stitching that is only available with RST. The RST offers the available 6.2L V8 engine as well as the diesel engine.

Premier

Premier is one of the Tahoe’s upper trim levels and again features all three previously mentioned engines. Its premium upgrades include a 10-speaker Bose speaker system, leather-appointed seats, a power-sliding center console, heated power-adjustable mirrors, and sleek chrome accents. Magnetic Ride Control, which monitors each individual wheel as you drive, ensures that you always have the smoothest ride.

High Country

The highest trim level available, High Country features all sorts of premium accents. A 15-inch Heads-Up display and signature High Country grille, interior stitching, and sill plates make this a premium ride. Drivers can choose from a 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 engine with Dynamic Fuel management or the 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine.
