This full-size SUV comes in six trims and offers three engine choices. Five trims come standard with a 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V8 engine rated at 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. The sixth trim, the range-topping 2026 Chevy Suburban High Country, equips a 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V8 that outputs 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. This engine is optional for select trims such as the midrange, off-road-focused 2026 Chevrolet Suburban Z71.

The third engine offered by this new Chevy SUV is a Duramax® 3.0-liter Turbo-Diesel capable of 305 horsepower, 495 lb-ft of torque, and a class-leading 728 miles of EPA-estimated maximum highway range per tank. All three engines mate to a 10-speed automatic transmission and either rear-wheel drive (RWD) or a four-wheel drive (4WD) system with an Autotrac® two-speed active transfer case.

Cargo and Towing

The 2026 Chevy Suburban boasts best-in-class cargo volume of 144.5 cu ft. This enormous space is highly configurable — for example, you can fold down the third row and have 93.80 cu ft to use, or you can keep every row in place and still have a 41.50 cu ft cargo hold behind the third row. Meanwhile, this SUV’s max towing capacity is 8,200lbs, achievable by pairing RWD with the 5.3-liter V8 engine.

Infotainment

All the best infotainment features are offered by the 2026 Chevrolet Suburban, starting with a class-leading 17.7-inch diagonal center touchscreen.
